CPAP
How long will a power station run a CPAP?
About 5.2 eight-hour nights on a 1 kWh station with the humidifier on, about 16.2 without it.
| Station | Capacity | 7 W, no humidifier | 22 W, humidifier |
|---|---|---|---|
| BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 | 288 Wh | 1.9 | 1 |
| Jackery Explorer 600 v2 | 640 Wh | 9.7 | 3.1 |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 | 1,024 Wh | 15.5 | 4.9 |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,070 Wh | 16.2 | 5.2 |
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 | 2,042 Wh | 31 | 9.9 |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus | 2,048 Wh | 31.1 | 9.9 |
| Anker SOLIX S5000 | 5,024 Wh | 76.3 | 24.3 |
ResMed lists the AirSense 10 at about 7 W without the humidifier and 22 W with it at typical settings (ResMed). The user guides list typical power consumption of 53 W (AirSense 10) (guide) and 56.1 W (AirSense 11) (guide), with peaks of 104 W and 73.2 W. ResMed’s 7 W and 22 W figures are measured at one typical setting.
The humidifier is what drains the battery: turning it off gives about three times the nights on most stations here. A heated tube adds more: ResMed measured 34 W with the ClimateLineAir tube (ResMed). Higher pressure or humidity raises the draw.
Medical devices: follow your doctor’s and the CPAP maker’s advice on backup power. ResMed sells DC converters for the AirSense 10 and 11, which avoid the inverter loss; the math here assumes AC.
