Virginia Cooperative Extension’s appliance list gives about 50 W for a laptop (Virginia Tech). The watts printed on your charger are the most it can draw, not what the laptop uses all the time; a laptop working hard or charging a flat battery draws more, one that is idle draws less.
Add a modem and router at about 11 W (NRDC) and you have a home office for about 61 W: eight hours is 488 Wh, about 574 Wh of station by our math.
These hours are for the AC outlet. Charging from the station’s USB‑C port skips the inverter, so it runs longer than shown, if the port’s watts cover your laptop’s charger.
Quick answers
How long will a 300 Wh power station run a laptop?
About 4.1 h on the 288 Wh BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 at 50 W, including its listed own draw: about half a workday. On USB‑C it lasts longer.
Can I charge a laptop from a power station’s USB‑C port?
Yes, if the port’s watts cover your laptop’s charger. It skips the AC inverter, so less energy is lost.
